Ifac grows workforce by 10% in a single month as demand fuels expansion for the firm

Professional services firm ifac has increased its workforce by more than 10% in a single month, adding 67 new team members as the business continues its growth trajectory and investment across Ireland.

The new hires, who joined the firm in June, bring ifac's total workforce to more than 600 people.

Ifac has also confirmed plans to create a further 200 new jobs over the next three years as the firm continues to invest in its people and expand its business through new service lines, increased regional footprint, and a targeted expansion at its Dublin based corporate advisory specialist Friel Stafford.

The growth plan will be underpinned by ifac’s continued commitment to hybrid and remote working, giving employees the flexibility to build long-term careers while living and working in their local communities.

The recruitment drive comes as demand for accountancy, tax, advisory and financial services continues to grow among farming, agrifood, SME and family-owned business clients. It also follows the firm's acquisition of three accountancy practices in Cork, Cavan and Mullingar earlier this year, further strengthening its regional footprint.

With 30 offices nationwide, ifac is a Top Ten professional services firm (Finance Dublin Annual Survey) and Ireland’s specialist adviser to the farming, agrifood, SME and family business sectors.

John Donoghue, CEO and Managing Partner at ifac, said:

"The addition of 67 new colleagues in June reflects both the continued growth of our business and our confidence in the future of Ireland’s indigenous business community. While businesses across many sectors continue to navigate economic uncertainty, we are seeing strong demand from clients for trusted advice and support as they plan, invest, and grow. The resilience and ambition of Ireland's owner managed businesses continues to create opportunities. We are investing in our people, specialist capabilities, technology platform and office network to meet that demand. We remain firmly committed to our hybrid and remote working models, which give ifac people the flexibility to build successful careers while staying rooted in their local communities. This approach will continue to underpin our growth in the years ahead.

We are proud to be growing our team and strengthening our ability to support our clients in an increasingly dynamic business environment."

The latest recruitment drive marks another milestone in ifac's ongoing expansion, following the firm's 50th anniversary celebrations last year and a period of sustained growth.

As businesses and farming enterprises continue to adapt to changing economic, regulatory and technological challenges, ifac says it remains focused on investing in talent and expertise to support clients throughout Ireland.
