  • 50% of dairy farmers say grassland infrastructure is their number one investment priority, highlighting the importance of productivity and efficient land use.

  • 40% plan to invest in slurry storage, reflecting the growing focus on environmental compliance and sustainable farm management.

  • 35% say the lifestyle of dairy farming is not appealing to the next generation, showing the ongoing challenge of encouraging farm succession.

  • 28% of farmers without a successor would consider share farming or partnerships as a way to continue the farm business.
