When Marian came on board in 2022, it was as a short-term maternity cover for one of our marketing team. But within a few short months, it was obvious to everybody that we were never going to let her go!
Her background is in graphic design, digital media and content creation, and it was only when she joined us that we realised how much we needed her particular skillset.
Marian’s stamp can be found on pretty much every aspect of our visual identity, whether it’s content for our website, promotional or advertising material, reports or any of the hundred and one jobs within the company that needs to look professional and well-designed.
In effect, Marian is the keeper of the flame as far as our brand identity goes and ensures consistency and a recognisable look and feel to everything we produce for public consumption.
"I love the varied creative challenges that are thrown my way by the company, it really lets me flex my creative muscles on a daily basis.”
“In the online world, video content rules the roost, and this is something that I have a real interest in, so it’s a marriage made in heaven. I also love the many and varied creative challenges that are thrown my way by the company, and it really lets me flex my creative muscles on a daily basis.”
Typical of the creative energy that Marian brings to the company is the role she plays on our Green Team - a group of staff from all areas who are the driving force behind the company to make positive sustainable changes. Including designing the look and feel – and completing a micro-site for the initiative – she brings a huge amount of genuine passion for the cause of sustainability.
Apart from being one of the stars of ifac, Marian is also a super-Mum to two young boys, and really appreciates the flexibility that young parents enjoy within the company. “I’m normally in the office three days a week, but if I have to move things around, it’s absolutely no problem once the work gets done."
“It’s nice to be trusted! When people are trusted they tend feel secure and do the best job possible. It’s one of the positive aspects of working for a company that really knows how to treat its people.”
