Share your views about the future of farming

Our survey aims to gather insights about Irish farming straight from the horse’s mouth!

We are delighted to be running our national farm survey for our 5th consecutive Irish Farm Report. We are encouraging farmers across Ireland to complete the Survey and have their say about what’s important to them, their families and their farm businesses. The online survey takes approximately four minutes to complete and closes on the 11th December 2022. Additionally, all participants who complete the survey will be entered into a draw for a €500 One4All voucher.

The findings of our nationwide survey will be published in our Irish Farm Report 2023 – one of the most comprehensive farm surveys undertaken in the state.

The Irish Farm Report 2023 will combine the results of this comprehensive farmer survey with emerging trends across all sectors. Our Irish Farm Report 2022 revealed that rising input costs were weighing heavily on farmers minds, as well as recruitment difficulties and financial planning, with two thirds of Irish farming families yet to start their succession plans.

Philip O'Connor, our Head of Farming said:

“Our annual Farm Survey uncovers real insights about farming in Ireland today – with the support of our expert teams, they help our clients to make well-informed and positive financial decisions to enhance their profitability and secure their futures.

“The biggest challenges facing farmers last year, as revealed in our 2022 Irish Farm Report, were increasing input costs, struggles finding employees and carving out time for financial planning, in particular careful succession planning, which we know can empower families and provide a sustainable future for their farm business.

“It also provided evidence of farmer optimism and consensus about the need to take climate action, with 97% open to incorporating renewable energy on their farms.”
