Our Head of HR & Legal, Lorraine Donoghue, is looking forward to welcoming applications from career returners for all roles advertised through ifac’s recruitment pages. Roles will be offered on a flexible permanent basis. Ifac is a family friendly employer committed to providing hybrid and flexible work opportunities across its thirty-office network.
Ifac’s returner programme will help people who have taken a career break of two years or more to reignite their career in professional services.
Lorraine Donoghue says, “Ifac has welcomed returners for many years, myself included. Studies have shown that people who took a career break of two years or more, can upskill in as little as six months. Successful returner applicants will be given all the support and training they need to find their feet and build high impact careers at ifac”.
Lorraine’s top tips for career returners:
Consider what role will suit you best.
Believe in yourself and pick an organisation that will support you.
Take advantage of upskilling opportunities. With so many courses available online it’s never been easier to access new skills and training.
Focus on organisations that have created a returner programme.
Ensure your values are aligned with your chosen employer.
Remember your time as a caregiver wasn’t wasted. Caregivers manage heavy workloads and build invaluable skills, from time management and negotiation, to project execution and leadership. It was time well spent.
It’s never too late to change direction, find a new career, or to return to the career you loved.
And remember you are in demand!
