Ifac teamed up with the Agricultural Science Association (ASA) and the Irish Farmers Journal to hold a webinar on the implications of Budget 2024 for Irish farming and rural communities.

MEET THE PANEL

Marty Murphy 

Marty is Head of Tax with ifac; he has vast experience and a very strong accountant and tax background, with expertise in agri and corporate taxation. Marty is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a member of CPA, and a Chartered Tax Advisor with the Irish Tax Institute. 

Niamh Brambrick 

Niamh Bambrick is an accomplished leader who has achieved much success at a young age. She recently became the youngest President of the ASA at just 29 years old. Niamh graduated from Ag Science in UCD in 2016 and has since pursued further education, completing a master’s in supply chain management and a H-dip in digital marketing. Currently, Niamh is studying for her second master’s in environmental sustainability at UCD.  

Niamh has gained valuable experience in the Agri-Food industry through her work at Tirlán for 6 years before moving to Chanelle Pharma. Her most recent role is Manager of the Animal Identification and Intelligence Division at Mullinahone Co-op.  

Niamh's journey with ASA began as a young graduate member in 2017, after spending 4 years as a full council member, Niamh then progressed to the Vice President and President roles. With her impressive background and experience, Niamh already has an exciting 12 months planned for the ASA.

Darren Carty 

Darren Carty is Sheep and Schemes Editor with the Irish Farmers Journal, specialising in technical coverage and market analysis across the sheep and beef sectors. Darren also has extensive experience in agri-schemes through his current role in the Irish Farmers Journal, active participation in his family’s sheep and suckler farm in Galway and also from a previous role as a Teagasc adviser.
