Farming 2020 and Beyond
Ifac and BOI are hosting a joint seminar in the Riverside Park Hotel, Enniscorthy on Wednesday 15th May at 7:30pm.
The theme of the seminar is “Farming Beyond 2020” and will be chaired by Matt Dempsey, Chairman of the Agricultural Trust
Speakers on the night include Declan McEvoy, Head of Tax, ifac, who will discuss tax issues on Brexit, CAP and the post-2020 landscape for farmers, Susan Maher, Agri Development Manager at Bank of Ireland who will look at how Ireland’s leading agri lender wants to fund sustainable agriculture.
This event takes place during BOI’s Financial Wellness week and in keeping with this theme Richard Burke from Resilience Matters will look at how to manage stress.
There will also be a panel discussion with Dairy Farmer Gerard Dunne, Brian Murphy, Chief Scientific Officer from e-Seed Crop Technology Solutions Ltd. and Angus Woods, National Livestock Chairman at the IFA.
Speaking about the event, Aisling Kavanagh, Partner in ifac’s Enniscorthy Office said “At ifac, we have been providing financial advice to farming families for over 40 years. The purpose of this seminar is to look at issues facing farmers over the coming months and offer solutions or help where possible particularly around farm labour. The topics discussed will be diverse and relevant and we’re looking forward to the evening.”
