Senior Team Trim
Walter has been working in ifac for 37 years. Having been the Partner of the Trim office for all of this time, he is our longest serving manager. Walter is married to Laura and has 4 grown up children. Interests outside of work include GAA and Horse Racing in addition to also enjoying walking and reading.
Richard studied Commerce in NUI Galway before completing a Masters in Accounting in Athlone. He then joined ifac through our graduate program in 2016. Of his experience with ifac Richard has said: “When I received an offer from ifac I was delighted. Getting the chance to further my accounting skills and experience in an environment where I would be exposed to all the different aspects of accounting is great. For graduates, I think ifac is a step ahead of most other accounting firms in Ireland. The four week graduate training program was vital and allowed us to become familiar with all the accounting systems in a conducive environment. This made things a lot easier when we got to our own offices.” In his spare time Richard enjoys watching and playing sports, being an avid Leeds United supporter and playing hurling and football for his local clubs, Summerhill and Rathmolyon.
You need an accountant who knows farmers and the business of farming. Ifac is a co-op and they know farming and farm tax, they are experts and I recommend them.
Teddy Cashman Dairy Farmer, ifac Board Member
I was of the opinion that I had a good tax advisor prior to moving to ifac. Ifac’s service goes beyond the traditional tax accountant. Their service matches my plans for the future of my farm with top class tax planning.
Larry Martin Dairy Farmer
I listen to farmers expressing concern about the service they are getting from their accountant. I tell them to join ifac as I am very happy with the service I am getting.
