Here at ifac, we love working with Irish food producers at all levels of the supply chain, from producer to manufacturer, with some having fully integrated supply chains producing high quality sustainable products. This festive season we are looking at a selection of our food companies that are offering the best in Irish food for your festive feast.

Finnegan's Farm

The Finnegan brothers, Paul & Joe, strive to make the humble potato more than just a plate filler. They are fifth generation farmers hailing from Co. Meath and are regarded as specialists in the potato field (pardon the pun!). Finnegan’s have recently launched a range of added value products to take some of the stress away from the chef on Christmas day. This range includes; Ready Cooked Chips and Wedges, Creamy Champ, Ready Cooked Roasties and Indian Mystery Baby Potatoes all made with their Irish grown potatoes.

Finnegan’s Farm is also home to the award-winning Finnegan’s Potato Gratin which picked up a Gold Blas na hÉireann medal this year. The team are also busy preparing the Brussel Sprouts for the big day!

Killowen Farm

Another Blas na hÉireann Gold medal winner, Killowen Farm is based in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford. Nicholas Dunne, his family, and their herd of happy cows are all responsible for the production of their top-quality yogurt products. They produce the best yogurt using only natural ingredients never using preservatives or additives in their products.

Killowen offers a selection of yogurt products including; Stirred Yogurt Pots, Yogurt Jars, multi-packs and a food service offering. Killowen Farm are producing a limited-edition product for the Christmas period - The Christmas Cranberry & Orange yogurt which combines delicious creamy Greek-style natural yogurt with gently Spiced Cranberry & Orange fruit compote.

Ballykeefe Distillery

Our Kilkenny based client, Ballykeefe Distillery offers four main spirits which are sustainably produced on their farm at Ballykeefe. Artisan Irish Potato Vodka, Extra Dry Irish Gin, Irish Whiskey and Irish Poitín are the premium spirits produced.

The distillery itself comes to life at Christmas with the festive experience at Ballykeefe Distillery. This is your opportunity partake in an authentic Irish distillery tour and sample the offerings of Ballykeefe Distillery with a festive theme! The products can act as the perfect Christmas gift, once you’re over 18 and drink responsibly of course!

Mark Taylor & Sons

The Taylor family are growers of Quality Assured Turnip and Broccoli on their farm in north county Dublin. These products are a staple for the Irish Christmas dinner. Continuing to innovate, they have recently started to grow Chillies and Garlic on their farm, Irish Chillies – who knew! Keep an eye on the supermarket shelves for Irish Chillies if you’re looking to add a little heat to your Turkey Stir Fry.
